WHAT YOU'LL DO:

System Design & Engineering

• Develop complete AV system designs including signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, device specifications, and network topologies.
• Create detailed engineering drawings using tools such as Visio, or D-Tools platforms.
• Define functional and technical requirements for AV systems (audio, video, control, conferencing, digital signage, sound reinforcement, etc.).
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards (AVIXA, SMPTE, AES, IT networking best practices).

Technology Evaluation & Solution Architecture

• Research emerging AV technologies and evaluate suitability for various project types.
• Recommend hardware and software solutions that improve user experience, reliability, and maintainability.
• Perform proof‑of‑concept testing for new equipment or system architectures.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with project managers, architects, IT teams, and vendors to align AV solutions with broader project goals.
• Participate in client meetings to capture requirements and present design options.
• Provide engineering guidance during construction and installation phases.

Documentation & Deliverables

• Produce comprehensive design packages including:

  • System schematics
  • Bill of materials (BOM)
  • Installation guidelines
  • Control system requirements
  • Acoustic considerations

Support & Commissioning

• Provide engineering support during installation, configuration, and testing.
• Assist commissioning teams with tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Ensure final systems meet performance, usability, and scalability expectations.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years’ experience in AV system design, room Integration & project management.
• AVIXA CTS certification would be considered an advantage
• Advanced understanding of AV system functionality, integration, programming and techniques.
• Proficiency with office365, project management software and CAD.
• Extensive knowledge of video networks, video over IP, switching, DSP’s, audio distribution and control processors
• Creative problem-solving, logical deployment skills, agile under pressure, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to read and comprehend project technical documents including, engineering and architectural design, timelines, acoustical reports, and constructions documents.
• Excellent communications skills, customer service skills, and organizational skill
