Job Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and dedicated Bookkeeping Assistant / Finance Assistant to join our dynamic finance team remotely. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes and maintaining the accuracy of our financial records. As a Bookkeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting our finance department with a variety of tasks, including maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with audits. You will work closely with our senior accountants and finance managers to ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensure compliance with established accounting standards.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process.
  • Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets to ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support budgeting processes.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team, including filing, data entry, and document management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeping Assistant, Finance Assistant, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
