Job Location: On Site, El Paso, Texas

Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm.
FLSA status: Exempt
Earliest Start Date: As soon as possible.
Salary : Commensurate with experience.
Note : This is a full time, temporary contingent upon availability of funds position with a possibility of extension and is eligible for full benefits, including medical, dental, and vision.
The Career Education Specialist supports faculty, staff, and advisors by translating workforce trends and career pathways into practical career readiness materials to provide students access to career exploration and education. The role focuses on resource development, internal event scheduling and interfacing with faculty, student organizations and workforce partners to provide students with group-based career exploration and education.
Support a defined portfolio of student career pathways and/or academic disciplines by providing workforce-informed materials and faculty-facing career readiness resources aligned with those disciplines.
Collaborate with faculty, advisors, student organizations, and workforce partners to integrate workforce trends, insights and career readiness materials into classrooms and student touchpoints including developing classroom and Blackboard ready materials, talking points, and short modules to support career exploration and education.
Develop and maintain career education toolkits, including slide decks, discussion and reflection prompts, and short activity guides for use by faculty, advisors, and in group-based career education workshops.
Collaborate with faculty, advisors, and workforce partners to develop and deliver group-based career exploration and education workshops for students across disciplines.
Develop metrics to assess and track workshop participation, students reached, feedback, resource utilization, and college engagement to support continuous improvement.
Complies with all State and University policies.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
One (1) year of professional experience in career services, workforce development, higher education, student services, academic support, or a related field.
Experience developing resources, educational materials, or workshop content.
Familiarity with labor market data, workforce trends, and career pathway frameworks.
Experience delivering group presentations, workshops, and/or trainings.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across academic and administrative units.
