Job Description

Overview:

Serves as the focal point for all facilities related matters including buildings and occupancy, material handling equipment, and vendor management.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor key performance indicators and evaluate that material handling equipment is performing according to expectations.
• Ensure material handling equipment is maintained and operational at all times.
• Ensure robust preventative maintenance system is in place for all material handling and facility equipment.
• Coach, counsel, and manage a team of employees.
• Plan and oversee all maintenance and repair work and develop an efficient system for dealing with emergency repair problems.
• Order and receive supplies and equipment/parts and maintain necessary facility inventories.
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and make repairs as appropriate.
• Ability to work varying hours and shifts as required to maintain operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Additional Primary Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and related experience or at least 7-10 years related experience in facilities management.
• Preferred courses/certifications include:
  • OSHA training/certification.
  • Certified Technical Professional (CTP).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft suites.
• Knowledge of safety programs including but not limited to; electrical, fire safety, IPE and confined spaces.

Physical Demands:

• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
• May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 50lbs.
