Mechanical HVAC Engineer

Overview:
We are seeking a Mechanical HVAC Engineer with 1–5 years of experience to join our MEP team. This role will support the design and development of HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, and/or residential projects. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, technically strong, and eager to grow within a collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design HVAC systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and exhaust systems
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations
• Develop ductwork and piping layouts
• Prepare construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and structural teams
• Assist with equipment selection and specifications
• Conduct site visits and field inspections as needed
• Support senior engineers and project managers throughout project lifecycle

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 1–5 years of HVAC design experience (internships included)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Familiarity with load calculation software
• Understanding of applicable codes and standards
• EIT certification or on track to obtain preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with commercial or institutional building systems
• Exposure to energy modeling or sustainable design (LEED)
• Knowledge of building controls and energy-efficient systems
