Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products according to company standards while maintaining high levels of quality, safety, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut, trim, and prepare meat (beef, pork, poultry, etc.)
• Debone, portion, and process meat products
• Operate knives, saws, grinders, and other equipment
• Ensure proper storage and handling of meat products
• Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety standards (HACCP)
• Package, label, and display products as required
• Monitor product quality and freshness
• Assist with inventory control and stock rotation
• Provide customer service (if in retail setting)

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a butcher or meat cutter
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat cuts
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Attention to detail and quality
• Reliable and team-oriented

Working Conditions:

• Cold environment (meat processing or retail setting)
• Standing for long periods
• Handling sharp tools and equipment
